Albert Schweitzer's Leadership for Life

The ICCUSA Foundation is pleased to introduce its newest endeavor with ASLFL, Mentoring in Medicine, Inc., and Pfizer Inc. Through workshops and hands-on training, students acquire valuable tools for healthy living as well as advice on pursuing careers in the health-care industry. This 12-week program is currently being beta-tested at Frederick Douglass Academy in New York City and would be run in both the fall and spring semesters.

Program Objectives

• Recognize and learn how to prevent ailments that plague socioeconomically disadvantaged communities
• Introduce students to advanced biological studies
• Introduce students to the possibility of pursuing a career in science or health care
